2025 New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program will take place from September 8, 2025, to January 9, 2026. This all-English program is designed to enhance academic cooperation and promote cultural exchange among countries covered by Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy.
The program curriculum focuses on smart and sustainable agriculture and includes subjects such as: Engineering, Plant Industry, Animal Science, Aquaculture, Food Science, Biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Applicants must be sophomore-level or above, including master’s students, and hold citizenship from one of the following countries:
Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Australia, or New Zealand.
2. Applicants must have a strong academic background in one of the fields listed above.
3. Students are required to take:
(1) A minimum of 12 academic credits in agriculture-related courses.
(2) Chinese language classes (held on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:10 AM to 12:00 PM).
4. Students must not be receiving any financial assistance from the government or any institution in Taiwan.
Program Benefits (provided by NPUST)
1. Round-trip economy-class airfare reimbursement (up to NTD 20,000)
2. Full tuition waiver, including Chinese language courses
3. Monthly scholarship of NTD 8,000 (NTD 4,000 for the partial months of September and January)
