Tarlac Agricultural University
Philippines

Committed to championing sustainable development and harnessing the potential of youth to contribute to nation-building, Tarlac Agricultural University’s institutional mandate cuts across four-fold functions: instruction, research, extension, and production. TAU is a Center of Excellence in Teacher Education and a Center of Development in Agriculture and has been categorized by the Commission on Higher Education as SUC IV albeit being converted into a university only in 2016.

Fueled by ASEAN integration and worldwide synergy, TAU now rides the waves of internationalization as it evolves to a truly global institution. The university from Camiling, Tarlac holds the distinction of being the first state institution for higher learning in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings after it debuted in 601-800th place in 2021. TAU is also rated Three-Stars by Quacquarelli Symonds and has been consistently ranked by World Universities with Real Impact and UI Green Metrics.

TAU is known for its inclusive mobility programs, both inbound and outbound. To date, it has sent and welcomed global ambassadors to and from South East Asia, Canada, Israel, and South Korea among others, for internship, regular exchange, and short-term programs.

As TAU enters another stage in its humble history, it will not cease to create a lasting, unique, and progress-driven niche for Tarlac, the Philippines, and the community of nations.
